Our research works focus on development of synthetic methodology and synthesis of biologically active compounds based on green chemistry concept.
1. C-O bond cleavage of alcohols and ethers
1.1 Deoxygenation of epoxides to alkenes
This methodology could be an alternative approach for alkene isomerization and also one of the method for utilization of biomass as renewable chemicals.
1.2 Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of benzylic alcohols
C(sp3)-C(sp2) bond formation via Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of non-derivatized benzylic alcohols is a greener alternative method to use benzylic halides is ongoing to develop.
